    Applied field exploration - Practical mapping course in the Skellefte mining district, Sweden

    The short course was organized within the EXplORE MSc exchange program for students from LTU (Sweden), UniOulu (Finland), AGH (Poland) and TUBAF (Germany). Practical field mapping exercises covering various topics of field methodology included:

    • Sampling techniques
    • Characterization of structures
    • Characterization of volcanic and sedimentary facies
    • Alteration mapping
    • Geophysical surveying methods

    Evening lectures focused on synthesizing data collected during the day for successive target selection or cover topics related to entrepreneurship in field exploration.
